The genus Amentotaxus Pilg. and its species Amentotaxus argotaenia (Hance) Pilg. are reported for the first time as a new record from Shaanxi Province, China. A brief description and photos are provided. The voucher specimens were deposited in Herbarium of Shaanxi University of Technology (HZTC).
