The present paper reports the chromosome numbers and karyotypes of 4 populations of Allium prattii in Sect. Anguinum (Liliaceae).The results are as follows:the population 1,2 and 4 are diploids,the karyotype formulae are 2n=2x=16=12m+2sm+2st(2SAT),
