Blechnidium is reported as a new record genus of pteridophytes in Guizhou province, China. It is a monotypic genus of Blechnaceae, with only one species, namely Blechnidium melanopus（Hook.）Moore. This species is narrowly distribute and its quantity is limited. It discovered in Guizhou is much of significance for researching its phytogeography and floristics.
