A preliminarily study on the xerophytic mosses Aloina Kindb.and Pterygoneurum Jur.of the family Pottiaceae in Hebei Province,China was reported.The genus Pterygoneurum and two species,namely Pterygoneurum subsessile (Brid.) Jur.and Aloina cornifolia Delgad.,were newly recorded in Hebei Province.The general data on the diagnostic characters,habitats,and geographic distribution of each species were discussed and the illustrations were provided.The key to the species of Aloina in Hebei Province was also compiled.
