Impatiens alpicola Y.L.Chen et Y.Q.Lu(Balsaminaceae) is reported as newly recorded species to Chongqing,China.Its diagnostic characters,habitat and distribution are discussed.The voucher specimens are kept in Herbarium of College of Life Science and Engineering,Chongqing Three Gorges University.Meanwhile,a key to species of Impatiens from Chongqing was provided.
