In this paper, five newly recorded species were reported from Qinghai Province, China, they are: Caloneis hendeyi LangeBertalot & Genkal, Navicula digitoconvergens LangeBertalot, Stauromis africana Cleve, Craticula elkab (Müller) LangeBertalot, Kusber & Cocquyt, Halamphora hybrida (Grunow) Levkov, The morphological characteristics of each species were described in detail, LM and SEM plates were provided, and the habitat and distribution were given.
