    Abstract:

Two angiosperm species, Ranunculus mongolicus (Krylov) Serg. (Ranunculaceae) and Epilobium montanum L. (Onagraceae), are reported here as newly recorded species in China, based on extensive literature survey and comprehensive examination of plant specimens in multiple herbaria worldwide, combined with molecular phylogenetic analyses. Voucher specimens are deposited at the herbaria of Beijing Forestry University (BJFC), the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (PE), and the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KUN).
